1. What CraftBolt is and what it is not

CraftBolt is an online platform at www.craftbolt.net, where clients post their requests and suppliers offer their services. The platform connects both parties across European Union countries and enables them to communicate with one another.

The operator is not a party to any contract between users. It does not provide craft, construction or any other services requested, does not act as an intermediary in the conclusion of contracts, and accepts no responsibility for whether the supplier carries out the work, the quality of the work, the price charged, or whether the client pays. Any arrangements agreed between the parties are their own affair and their responsibility.

The operator does not verify the accuracy of the details provided by users, nor their qualifications, authorisation or insurance. We recommend that each party checks the other party’s details before entering into any commitment.

2. Who can use the platform

The platform may be used by individuals aged 18 and over and by legal entities. We distinguish between three roles:

Paid services are intended exclusively for business owners. Both business enquiries and a supplier’s access to enquiries can only be arranged as part of business activities. Consequently, consumer protection provisions, including the 14-day cooling-off period, do not apply to these contracts.

3. Registration and account

Registration is completed by filling in the form and confirming your email address. The link in the confirmation email is valid for 24 hours. Without email confirmation, neither the request nor the supplier’s profile will be published.

You log in to your account using the email address and password you chose during registration. If you forget your password, you can have a one-off login link sent to your email address. You are responsible for ensuring that you do not disclose your password to anyone and that only you have access to your email account — anyone who gains access to your email account will also gain access to your account.

You undertake to provide true and up-to-date information. If you discover that someone else has used your account, please notify us without undue delay.

4.1 Credits

Credits are virtual units on the user account. A credit pack is bought once by card. Unused credits expire 12 months after they are credited. Spent credits are not refunded, even if a request fails or the supplier does not use it.

Company demanders: publishing one company request costs 10 credits. New accounts receive a one-off 10 free credits.

Supplier: clicking “I’m interested” on a company or private request spends 10 credits and opens the request detail. Only then can the supplier chat with the demander. Matching request lists and alerts about new requests are available without credits; without credits the detail cannot be opened.

On the first purchase of the supplier pack for €29 we also credit 10 bonus credits (60 in total). Later purchases of the same pack do not include the bonus.

4.2 Office subscription

Supplier registration is free and not time-limited. The public profile and map pin stay published without a subscription. The Office (budgets, contracts, invoices and related tools) requires a monthly subscription of €10.

The office subscription is for an indefinite period with a monthly billing cycle and renews automatically until you cancel it. Payment is charged to the card at the start of each period as a recurring payment.

Recurring-payment parameters and consent are described on Recurring payments information. Separate rules are in Recurring payments terms.

You can cancel the subscription at any time in account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: the office keeps running until then. Afterwards office access closes; the supplier’s public profile remains. No refund is given for the unused part of a paid period.

4.3 Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. The operator does not store card numbers — you enter them on the payment provider’s secure page.

The operator may change prices. You will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance. For subscriptions the new price applies from the next billing period; you do not have to accept the change — cancel before it takes effect. For credit packs the price shown at purchase applies.

5. Rules for published content

You are responsible for everything you upload to the platform — the text of your request, service descriptions, logos, photographs, documents and messages in conversations. You undertake not to publish content that:

By posting content, you grant the operator a free, non-exclusive licence to display, store and machine-translate this content to the extent necessary for the operation of the platform. This licence ceases upon the removal of the content, with the exception of copies held in backups and in the other party’s conversations.

6. Machine translation

The text of enquiries, profiles and messages in conversations is automatically translated into the reader’s language. This is a machine translation, which may be inaccurate. The original text, as written by the sender, is always available for each message, and in the event of any discrepancy, the original shall prevail. Before concluding any agreement, please check the key details — scope of work, price, deadline — in the original text.

7. Service availability

The operator endeavours to keep the platform available at all times, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The service may be restricted due to maintenance, updates or issues on the part of server providers and other technical service providers.

If an outage caused by the operator in relation to a paid service lasts for more than 24 consecutive hours, the operator shall, upon request sent by email, extend the subscription period by a period corresponding to the duration of the outage.

8. Removal of content and account termination

The operator may remove content or suspend or terminate an account if a user breaches these terms and conditions or the law, or if the content is reasonably suspected of being fraudulent. The operator will notify you of the removal of content by email, stating the reason.

You may object to the removal by replying to this email or by sending a message to info@craftbolt.cz. The operator will assess your objection and respond within 14 days.

If you delete your account, your enquiries and profile will no longer be displayed. Conversations will remain accessible to the other party; your personal data will be deleted to the extent and within the timeframes described in the privacy policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

The operator is liable for damage caused by a breach of its obligations under these terms and conditions. For paid services, compensation is limited to the amount the user has paid for the service over the last twelve months; for free services, no compensation is provided. This limitation shall not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor to personal injury.

The operator shall not be liable for loss of profit, loss of business or the conduct of third parties.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have any complaints regarding a paid service, please write to info@craftbolt.cz. The operator will confirm receipt of the complaint and resolve it within 30 days at the latest.

Out-of-court dispute resolution with consumers

If you are a consumer, i.e. a natural person using the platform outside the scope of your business activities, and if the dispute cannot be resolved directly with the operator, you have the right to contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority. The CCI is the competent body for the out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes arising from the services provided by the operator.

A claim may be lodged no later than one year from the date on which you first exercised your right with the operator. The proceedings are free of charge for consumers; each party bears its own costs, and the proceedings may be terminated at any time. By contacting the Inspectorate, you do not lose your right to pursue your claim in court.

11. Changes to the terms and conditions

The operator may amend these terms and conditions, in particular in the event of an extension of the service or a change in legislation. Registered users will be notified of any changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree with the change, you may cancel your account before it takes effect; by continuing to use the service, you accept the change.

12. Final provisions

Relationships arising from these terms and conditions are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. The Czech courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve disputes, unless another jurisdiction is specified by law.

These terms and conditions are drawn up in Czech and translated into other languages. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Czech version shall prevail.
